All participants welcome; no drawing or writing skill required!
Social Media ROI
Simon Sikorski, MD
Medical Marketing Director
Healthcare Marketing Center of Excellence
Organizations that have adopted the use of social media early on are reaping the benefits of stronger brands, decreased marketing costs, improved physician and patient loyalty, and significantly larger shares of the market. But are they doing everything as they should?
This workshop is intended to highlight some of the biggest challenges of social media in health care, the greatest opportunities, and to provide guidelines to improve ROI wherever you are in the adoption process: just starting out, already established, or looking for advanced social media strategies.
If you would like to discuss Social Media ROI challenges specific to your organization, please email suggestions by June 1st 2012 to [email protected].
Matters of Life, Creative Energy, and Death: Walking tour of colonial Providence and the John Brown House
Providence is truly “a jewel of a city” that offers the visitor a peek into the past. A walking tour in any part of the Downtown or College Hill neighborhoods demonstrates Providence’s dedication to history, quality art and design. The Benefit Street walking tour and visit to the John Brown House will share the history of the rise and fall of the most historic section of the city.
The John Brown House Museum is a grand mansion, completed in 1788. A wealthy businessman, manufacturer, slave trader, and family man, John Brown and his extended family shaped every aspect of 18th century Providence. The triumphs and tragedies of pre-Civil War life are told through this amazing family and their luxurious home including John’s interest in medical advances with inoculation against small pox that is on display at the House.
Rhode Island Historical Society Guides will meet us at the Biltmore Hotel for a trip through historic Providence that ends at the Rhode Island School of Design’s renowned art museum (free admission on Thursday after 5pm).
Trip will take place, rain or shine. Comfortable, flat shoes are recommended.
